As Extron marks 40 years of service, support, and solutions to the professional AV industry, we’re taking this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and to invite you to join us in a celebration of this milestone.
Our customers are at the center of everything we do. When we first started, we had no idea the kind of community that would grow around our technologies and services. We are grateful to the organizations, consultants, integrators, programmers, and end-users who have partnered with us over the years. We remain dedicated to providing the best customer experience possible, as well as products with the highest level of performance, dependability, and value.
“Extron grew up alongside the AV industry. For four decades, we’ve seen the evolution of technologies that completely reshaped how people communicate, and we’re proud of the leading role we play in developing innovations that drive the industry forward. As we continue to produce core technologies for the enterprise, I’m very excited for the road ahead.”

The Integration-Friendly Solution for Acoustically Challenging Spaces
The CA 163 is an easy-to-install column array speaker, designed to combine excellent speech intelligibility, a contemporary aesthetic, and integration-friendly mounting options. Two mounting systems are available to accommodate different room layouts and sizes. Ideal for acoustically challenging environments, it features a focused vertical dispersion that efficiently directs sound to listeners instead of reflective ceilings or floors. Available in black or white, the CA 163 is an integration-friendly solution for ambient environments.
Designed for Easy Installation
The included wall mounting system design allows one person to securely mount the CA 163 to the wall. A wall-mounting template is included that makes it quick and easy to accurately position the speaker mounts. Once the mounts are installed, an innovative slot on the rear of the speaker easily allows it to slide up and down to the desired height.
Two Mounting Systems Available
To accommodate various speaker aiming and placement requirements, the CA 163 offers two options for mounting:
The CA 163 PT includes a pan and tilt mount for maximum speaker aiming flexibility. It provides 130° pan and 15° tilt.
The CA 163 LP includes a low‑profile mount for minimal protrusion from the wall and provides up to 5° tilt.

Extron NAV Pro AVoIP System Stimulates Active Learning at Endicott College
When Endicott College in Massachusetts wanted to identify the best technology to support active learning classrooms throughout campus, the AV staff selected the Team Building classroom as a pilot room for a proof of concept design. The intent for the new design was to streamline communication within the room and facilitate collaboration over the campus network. The system needed to support easy sharing within a local collaboration group as well as the ability to share any source to all displays in the room.
Endicott teamed with Integrated Multimedia Solutions, LLC to design and deploy Extron products, with the NAV Pro AV over IP system facilitating the interactive learning environment. The Team Building room proof-of-concept installation was integrated and commissioned in only three days. This preparatory work combined with the integration-friendly features, built-in capabilities, and compatibility among the Extron products streamlined the process. Learn More
Wake Forest University School of Business Farrell Hall Gets an AV Refresh with Extron Control & NAV Pro AV over IP
Farrell Hall, opened in 2013, is the 130,000 square foot home of the Wake Forest University School of Business. By 2021, the non-Extron HDBaseT AV systems first installed in the building were becoming unreliable. For a building that serves students literally day and night, that was unacceptable. Administrators wanted to restore stability to the AV technology in a manner that replicated the original design
Jay Bunthoff, Multimedia Manager in Wake Forest’s Information Services department, worked with Winston-Salem based pro AV integrator Recursav, LLC to perform a 3-year phased retrofit of existing AV distribution and control systems in the building. Extron AV switching, distribution, and control systems, anchored by NAV Systems, were selected for the retrofit to enhance reliability and to provide scalability for future growth. Learn More
